Our story

Why Wild Goose Chase exists.

Wild Goose Chase started with a simple idea: Murfreesboro deserves the kind of big, memorable nights you usually have to drive to a big city for, without the big city price tag. That belief is right there in our tagline. Big city events without the big city expense.

So we build immersive clue parties, scavenger hunts, murder mysteries, and team nights that pack the room and get people laughing, guessing, and competing together.

The other half of who we are is giving back. We believe in it, so we put on fundraising events all year long. They draw hundreds of attendees who come to make a difference and connect with their community. You get a great night out. A local cause gets the spotlight and the dollars.

Meet the founder

Missy Lay

Missy is a lifelong Rutherford County girl with a Business Management degree from Belmont and a deep love for this town. Eight years ago she turned that love into Wild Goose Chase Events, building scavenger hunts that show off small businesses, interactive murder mysteries, and fundraisers that actually raise money.

She believes small businesses are the backbone of a strong local economy, and she puts that belief to work at every single event.
